It’s a vicious cycle.
Of course, preventing interruptions at work is easier said than done, especially when you have inputs from all over (social media, email, websites) and from a variety of devices (phones, computers, other people). All of that can feel like a mountain of interruption that’s difficult to get past.
But there are some five-minute strategies that you can use to minimize interruptions and re-focus on creativity. What are they? This graphic reviews them.

I make a flask of hot tea for the day once the kettle has boiled. Saves on electricity and me constantly going to get a hot drink as a distraction. Also this cuts down on my munchy biscuit habit as the biscuit tin is right near the kettle!! I also batch tasks together for productivity, so may have an afternoon of phone calls and another of letter writing. Ironing gets done in small bursts as too tiring to do all at once. xx
