When I first started this blog it was more of a hobby. I never thought this blog would make me an income that can replace my teaching job.
I’m a stay at home mom of 3 now, all 5 and under. They don’t go to preschool or child care. If I were to start working the cost of putting them all in child care wouldn’t have been worth it. I was lucky enough to have been able to stay at home with my kids. For a while, we lived with my mother in law. She helped us so much as we got on our feet as a young couple fresh out of college with 2 kids. We wouldn’t have been able to work on our careers that we have now without her help. When my husband finally got his job we were able to move out and be on our own and I was able to stay home with the kids. During those 2 years, even though I couldn’t go out to work I still managed to find time to make myself productive at home. I couldn’t stand not helping my family out. I knew that I can at least make a little off of my blog and YouTube with Google Adsense. But that’s all I really knew!
For me, one of the best things about working from home is the flexibility it provides. I love being able to take a vacation whenever I feel like it. I especially love being able to watch my children grow everyday. Even though I am with them all day everyday, I still feel like they’re growing up way too fast!
